An award-winning artist, Ana spends most of her time surfing around Florida and painting ocean inspired abstracts. She graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Ana begun painting at an early age when she was twelve-years-old. Her pieces stood out, and her professors encouraged her to concentrate on art. Her inspiration came from surfing and free diving. for ana - There is this intense and overwhelming connection with the sea. The world can come down on her shoulders and once she paddles out and catches a few waves, nothing matters anymore.
Painting water and the movement of water is what she enjoys most. ana loves a challenge and finds even the most difficult of tasks inspiring. She loves pushing her limits and seeing what she can create out of her comfort zone. The little details and memories she chose to retain while she spent time in the water can be seen in her work. All of her pieces are bits of her and the ocean that surrounds us. Ana’s art is like the ocean – vast, mighty and in a constant state of flux.
